Hiking 2020

For Christmas 2019, I decided that my best friend and I shouldn’t give each other something tangible, but we should buy what we needed to start hiking. She had booked a trip to Montana and I wanted to help her prepare for hiking there….and it would give us some much needed girl time.

Our first hike was at the end of January at Providence Canyon. Pictures can’t bring justice to the magnificent beauty that we experienced in person.

We began our hike from the visitor center. We followed the trail down into the bottom the canyon. Thankfully we had waterproof boots because there were a lot of streams throughout the bottom of canyon due to the major rain that fell in January. We walked each trail in the canyon admiring God’s artwork.

Once we completed the trails in the canyon, we exited up the other side and walked around the top of the canyon until we reached our starting point.

The only tough part of this hike was walking up the side of the canyon. Outside of that, the hike was relatively easy. The trails were well marked which allowed us to really take in the views. Providence Canyon is definitely a must-see.
